Before Conflict: Preventing Aggressive Behavior
Dr. John D. Byrnes

Dr. John D. Byrnes gets to the heart of the concept of aggression prevention. Rather than look strictly at violence and all its implications - fatalities, crime, and assault - Byrnes instead chooses to look ahead, in order to prevent aggression versus simply reacting to it. By using a unique Aggression Management® methodology , those responsible for the safety of others may circumvent the standard practice of mere "conflict resolution" by dealing with problems before they create conflict. Aggression Management® teaches readers not only how to measure their own aggression, but that of others as well, empowering the reader to stop problems before they develop. This book is recommended for anyone responsible for the safety of others. Learn the skills that thousands of others have used to diminish and prevent aggression in their lives and their workplaces, and increase your own productivity as a result.

About The Author

He has conducted Aggression Management® Workshops for some of the nation's largest employers, among them the United States Postal Service, NASA, United States Department of Agriculture, and Disney Development. He has published articles extensively and has spoken before many national associations. This is his first book.

The International Assignment Profile
Neill M. Carson

Recent research confirms that the major cause of failed or compromised international assignments is family adjustment problems. The International Assignment Profile (IAP) is a new tool that assists HR, EAP, relocation professionals or outside counselors by gathering and analyzing key, comprehensive information about the employee and family, then matching it to known, reported conditions in their anticipated international assignment. The IAP produces a prioritized, actionable list of potential problems that could compromise an assignment, allowing planning and education to prevent problems before they occur. The information is obtained through an online interview guided by an artificial intelligence system, and requires no software installation other than an internet connection. Reports cover the main problem areas, personal traits that can foster or hinder adjustment, and comparisons with other expats.

Used by major international companies and featured in research major publications such as Mobility (the primary journal of the relocation industry), the IAP is available now, and can be customized to meet unique counselor, value added reseller, or corporate needs. As one user put it, "with the IAP, you spend your time solving problems, not just identifying them."
